🔸Imagine you're playing as Spain against San Marino. With all due respect to San Marino, you wouldn't expect this opponent—even with their modest stats—to perform at a superstar level, right? In this situation, you can ease up a bit, knowing you'll win.
Now, the opposite situation: you're playing as San Marino against Spain. To achieve a decent result, you'll have to give it your all, as Spain is a superstar team.
So why does the game have a single, fixed difficulty level, regardless of who's playing whom?
My suggestion is that the difficulty level should be matched to the specific matchup. And that's exactly what this mod does.
🔸IDifficulty Ladder:
- Each team in PES2021/FL26 has a potential rating (ranging from 54 to 100) — 749 teams in total are covered, with the ratings calculated for the 2025-26 season.
Each team's rating is assigned to a difficulty level (roughly corresponding to the ranking system in FL26, as the AI does not have direct access to it):
80-100 → Superstar Level
71-79 → Top Player Level
64-70 → Professional Level
54-63 → Normal Level
- If you are a big club facing an amateur team, the task will be easy (e.g. Real Madrid against a weak opponent - Normal level). If you are an underdog, you will face a serious test (your weak team against Real Madrid - Superstar level).
- Even within the same level, elite teams will have an advantage over weaker opponents. Here's the table:
🔸Features:
- "Remember user team": the player's team choice is remembered in ML (Master League) and BAL (Become a Legend) modes. The module works automatically, without user intervention.
- When using in friendly matches, the function must be activated manually by pressing the 6 key (details are in the Sider overlay). I removed the automatic detection function: I was unable to "train" the module to recognize which team the user plays for. If anyone who has paid access to advanced AI tools wants to try solving this problem, please go ahead.
