🔸One of the long-standing flaws of the Master League mode in the PES series is that injuries are unrealistically implemented. Players on AI-controlled teams are almost never out of action for long: the game only allows 1-5 days for recovery, so all players are back in action by the next match. Your own players may sometimes have injuries that last longer, while the AI ​​opponents almost never do. The result is a world where injuries simply don't exist and the AI ​​never has to make squad changes or enter the transfer market.

🔸This module fixes this by setting the same rules for everyone - both your club and the computer (CPU).

🔸What it does:

1. Realistic duration. When an injury with a standard recovery period of 1-5 days occurs in the game, the module determines a more realistic duration for it:

- 42% - remain short (1-5 days)

- 33% - 1-3 weeks

- 16% - 3 weeks to 2 months

- 6% - 2-4 months

- 2% - 4-6 months

- 1% - 6-8 months (maximum 248 days; the game does not support higher values)

Injuries with an initial recovery period longer than 5 days are left unchanged - as the game determined them.

2. New injuries occur worldwide every day. 0.25% of healthy players are injured every 24 hours, with recovery times varying. This applies to both played and simulated matches. During our testing, the proportion of injured players worldwide stabilized at around 6% (1,977 out of 32,552)—a figure typical for real-life leagues (imagine, for example, an Italian Serie A club with 6-9 players out).

3. The AI ​​must react. If an AI-controlled club has a striker out for 4 months, the team must use players from the bench or sign a new player. The game automatically counts the days, and the AI ​​removes injured players from its rosters.

🔸Safety.

New injuries only occur when changing between match days in the calendar—never when the lineups for the next match are already set. In one of the earlier versions, we had a case where a player in the AI-controlled team's starting lineup was injured during the match preparation screen: as a result, the AI ​​ended up playing with ten men, and the app crashed after the game. Now the module works differently: if a match day changes during this time, injuries are only added during the next check.
